Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about pricing, platforms, mixers, MIDI, effects, Serato, and setup.

What is QuickLoops Pro?

QuickLoops Pro lets vinyl DJs record short loops, play them back, and bring them into a live set while staying focused on the decks and mixer.

Who is it for?

It is for vinyl DJs, scratch DJs, battle DJs, and performance DJs who want quick loop capture without setting up a full studio session.

How much does QuickLoops Pro cost?

QuickLoops Pro for iOS launches on the App Store at $29.99 USD. The macOS build is free during active development and is available as a direct DMG download.

When does the iOS version launch?

QuickLoops Pro for iOS is launching soon. Join the waitlist and we will email you when the App Store version is available.

Is there a TestFlight beta I can join?

TestFlight is private right now. If you need early access for a specific mixer or setup, email support@quickloopspro.com and tell us what you want to test.

Will there be an Android version?

No. There are no plans for an Android version.

Will there be a Windows version?

There is no Windows version today and none is planned in the near term. The current builds are macOS 13+ and iOS 17+.

Can I switch between vinyl and Serato while using QuickLoops Pro?

Yes, but be careful if both apps use the same controller pads. To avoid confusing controls, use Serato or QuickLoops Pro on the controller at one time, rather than both at once.

Does it work with the Pioneer DJM recording app?

We are still testing this. If the Pioneer DJM recording app is important to your setup, contact us with your mixer model and macOS version before you rely on both apps together.

Why is it different from other loopers?

QuickLoops Pro is made for live DJ use. It focuses on fast recording, simple loop playback, two decks, mixer routing, and optional hardware control.

Does it quantize?

No. Loops use the timing of your touch. They are not forced onto a beat grid.

What platforms are supported?

QuickLoops Pro supports iOS 17+ on iPhone and iPad, and macOS 13+ on Mac.

Why is Deck 2 sometimes unavailable on iOS?

On iPhone and iPad, two-deck use needs audio from a compatible USB mixer or audio device. If QuickLoops Pro cannot see that audio connection, Deck 2 will not be available.

Which mixers are supported?

Pioneer DJM-S11 and DJM-S7 have specific preset mappings on iOS and macOS. Pioneer DJM-S9 is supported on macOS only. Mixers from Rane, Reloop, and Numark are generally compatible when they expose class-compliant USB audio and Core MIDI, but specific preset mappings are still in progress and manual configuration is required today.

Can I use MIDI controllers?

Yes. You can map pads and controls for recording, playback, speed, loop length, and effects.

What effects are included?

Echo and Reverb are included. You can control the overall amount and choose which deck sends audio to the effects.
